Join me for a blissful evening of devotional chanting at the beautiful Yoga Bodhi in Bath on Friday 12th October. Please note this session takes place on the 2nd Friday of every month.
Kirtan is a form of devotional chanting whose roots go back over 500 years to India. It is a practice from Bhakti Yoga (yoga of devotion) and has the power to open the heart. By repeating simple mantras over and over, kirtan is an effortless way to experience some freedom from the daily chatter of the mind, taking us deeper into stillness and silence.
Kirtan is for everyone. No prior experience of chanting is necessary to gain the many benefits it has to offer, simply an openness to what may occur. Through chanting, you meet the practice exactly where you need to. This might be finding a still point of relaxation after a hectic week at work, or the joy of singing together, of opening our hearts, offering our prayers to the Divine, or simply being present to the one moment.
"A wonderfully uplifting & meditative first time for me at Yoga Bodhi. Tim's hypnotic chant took me to another state of consciousness ... a blissful state to visit." - Robin Oneile
